Our History:
Kennedy Insurance Agency Inc was founded by John Kennedy in 1901. His son Charles Kennedy joined the Agency in 1930 and continued to serve until 1974. In 1958, Robert Kennedy joined his father Charles and was the owner and also an agent until his retirement in 2023. From 1962 - 2002 Gerald Hahn, son in law of Charles, was an integral part of the Agency's success. In 2004 Nicole Peterson, Great Granddaughter of Charles, proudly joined Kennedy Insurance as an Agent. Upon Bob's retirement in 2023 Nicole became the new owner. Over the years our location and faces may have changed, but our commitment of superior service from our family to yours is still our top priority. Bob joined his father in the insurance business in 1958. He has gained a vast insurance knowledge throughout his experience over the years. Bob was also quite involved with our local Veterans organizations, especially the American Legion. He also served as a member on several service orientated fraternities. Bob retired in 2023.
Nicole joined the agency in 2004. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in finance and marketing. Her prior experience in banking and human resources has also contributed to the knowledge Nicole is able to provide. She is active in her local community and is a member of the Washington Area Youth Supporters.
